The Fund For Development of the State Kuban Cossack Chorus

The Fund was established in 2003 with support of the Krasnodar Regional Administration and Company "Basic Element". Its main purpose is to render assistance to the development of the Chorus in all aspects of its life.

In April 2003 the Fund sponsored a major recital of the Chorus in the State Kremline Palace dedicated to the 65-th birthday of its artistic director, a remarkable Russian patriotic composer Victor G.Zakharchenko. Over 7 thousand spectators came to watch the performance of the Kuban artists in the main concert hall of the country. An outstanding Russian film director and a prominent public figure Nikita Mikhalkov warmly introduced the legendary Chorus to the muscovites and even sang together with the Chorus an old Russian Cossack song "It's Not For Me That the Spring Will Come".

Within the framework of a special development program three CD albums of the Chorus's song anthology have been released up to date (see CD's)

In the near future will be released a new DVD with a concert of the Chorus named "Krasnodar Krai Administration and "Basic Element" Company Present Kuban Cossack Chorus in the Kremlin" (a record of the first Chorus's performance in the Kremlin in April 2003).

With the immediate support of the Fund a web-site reflecting all the aspects of the Chorus was launched.

In the near future the Fund plans to finance a new concert program of the Chorus dedicated to the bicentennial of Kuban Cossack Chorus, to buy equipment for the sound recording studio of the Chorus and a number of other projects.
